Famous the world over, Puerto Banus (above) is characterised by super sleek yachts, exotic cars, designer boutiques and a collection of some of the finest restaurants, bars and clubs. There is also a lovely sandy beach adjacent to the harbour. It is one of those places where the rich and famous get together; a place to be seen, and also a wonderful place for people watching. You might even see someone famous! Nearby is the traditional Spanish village of Benahavis with its whitewashed cottages and narrow cobbled streets. Have a wander round the shops, stop for a taste of local cuisine and just admire the stunning views. Ronda is a must for anyone interested in sight seeing. It is a very old town, steeped in history, nestling in the hills with dramatic panoramic views. Ronda has many cafes and some very good restaurants. The picturesque drive will take about an hour and it really is worth it. Marbella is only fifteen minutes away and offers extensive sandy beaches, exclusive shops, restaurants and an impressive marina. Gibraltar is a 45 minute journey, with its infamous apes and caves. Duty Free Shopping is also available. You can get to the top of the Rock either on foot or via the Cable Car for stunning views to Spain and Northern Africa. Ferry tickets can be purchased for a day trip to Morocco.
